“CCCI 2025 Year-in-Review: Strengthening Cebu’s Business Ecosystem Through Collaboration and Innovation”
In its 2025 Year-in-Review, the Cebu Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI) highlighted how it continues to strengthen Cebu’s business ecosystem by sharpening its focus, boosting priority sectors, and building strong synergy across government, industry, and the workforce.
Through initiatives such as the MICE Alliance, the Chamber is addressing critical infrastructure gaps—water, power, and connectivity—by ensuring that alliances in these areas are coordinated, functional, and sustainable. CCCI also reaffirmed its commitment to circularity through its leadership in the ASEAN Circular Economy Business Alliance, emphasizing that circular business models not only support environmental goals but also improve efficiency, resilience, and competitiveness across entire supply and value chains.
Throughout the year, the Chamber advanced its goal of vertical and horizontal alignment, bringing together industries, support institutions, and workforce partners to enable broader participation in economic development. Key programs focused on capability building and future readiness, including initiatives on artificial intelligence, cyber hygiene, leadership development, organizational excellence, and skills training. Community-based economic development programs helped producers and MSMEs shorten business cycles, reduce intermediaries, and improve profitability, reinforcing inclusive growth across sectors.
CCCI also reported strong gains in membership and engagement, welcoming 74 new members and growing to 856 members across 28 sectors. Thousands of participants were reached through forums, summits, networking events, and industry-specific programs, reinforcing the Chamber’s role as a convenor and catalyst for collaboration. On the international front, CCCI expanded Cebu’s global presence by hosting and engaging delegations from multiple countries, strengthening diplomatic and trade relationships, and developing outbound and inbound trade mission platforms, including an upcoming mission to Japan. These efforts align with key United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly in health, education, decent work, innovation, and sustainable cities.
The Chamber likewise emphasized its role in policy advocacy, environmental action, and disaster coordination, demonstrating how private-sector leadership can work alongside government and civil society to address shared challenges. Looking ahead, CCCI outlined its next phase of growth—scaling partnerships across the province, advancing the creative and innovation economy, and launching the Cebu Innovation Hub, a collaborative space designed to support meetings, events, focused work, and knowledge sharing for entrepreneurs, MSMEs, and industry leaders.
As CCCI moves forward, it reaffirmed its commitment to helping Cebu businesses learn, adapt, and grow, strengthening a culture of innovation, sustainability, and collaboration—ensuring that Cebu continues to thrive as a dynamic and competitive business hub.
